About Piaget
Piaget is a watch house founded in 1874 and based in La Côte-aux-Fées, Switzerland, best known for Altiplano and Polo. Crown Auctions offers pre-owned Piaget pieces in its Australian online auctions. Each lot is inspected by specialists and listed with photographs and condition notes.
Georges Piaget set up his workshop in La Côte-aux-Fées in 1874. In 1957 the manufacture launched the 9P, a hand-wound movement only 2 mm thick.
Piaget works almost exclusively in precious metals, and it is equally known for jewellery and for gem-set watches.
